MEETING SACRIFICE WITH HOPE SINCE 2007.
It began with Lt Col Dan Rooney’s flight home from his second tour of duty in Iraq. An F-16 fighter pilot in the Oklahoma Air National Guard, he became painfully aware of the realities families face when a loved one in uniform is fallen or disabled.
As his flight landed, the pilot announced they carried the remains of Corporal Brock Bucklin on board. Lt Col Rooney watched as Corporal Bucklin’s twin brother walked somberly alongside the flag-covered casket to meet his family on the tarmac. Among them was the deceased Corporal’s young son, Jacob.
Since that night, Lt Col Rooney has committed his life to rallying patriotic Americans and meeting sacrifice with hope through the Folds of Honor. Since 2007, we’ve provided life-changing scholarships to the spouses and children of America’s fallen or disabled military. And now, our mission expands to the families of America’s first responders. On our watch, those who protect our freedoms and our families will know they are not forgotten.
IN THE FOLDED FLAG WE SEE THE HEAVY PRICE OF FREEDOM
Yet it’s also a symbol of hope, representing the enduring ideals that make this country a beacon of democracy. We chose this logo because it reflects our mission – to honor the sacrifice of America’s heroes, while giving hope to the bearers of their legacy.
Folds of Honor has grown from a vision into a movement. This folded flag is a constant reminder of those who have paid the ultimate price for our freedom. It inspires us to help equip and educate their loved ones in need of our support. Thank you for embracing the call.
Arc-Tronics Gives Back
Arc-Tronics has always been a family company. Being in business for over 50 years and having second generation owners is just a couple of the ways they do this, but that’s not all. Arc-Tronics and their employees spend a great deal of their time doing community and charity work throughout the year, helping give back to the community. Not only are their employees like family, but they have created a village for those in need.
Community and charity events are crucial for creating a sense of unity and empathy within society. These events serve as ways for individuals to come together regardless of their backgrounds or differences and work towards a common goal: help those in need. By participating in community and charity events, we not only contribute to the betterment of these communities, but also grow appreciation and an understanding for the challenges others may face.
These events also create powerful and often lasting relationships. Whether it’s through volunteering at a local food drive, participating in a charity run, blood drive, or throwing our own fundraiser, people are able to collaborate and support one another while also making a positive impact. Not only are others helped, but community and charity events raise awareness about important social issues, which in turn sparks conversations and leads to hopeful further action to address systemic challenges and injustices. By actively participating in these events, individuals not only give back to their communities but also contribute to building a more compassionate and equitable world for everyone.

Feed My Starving Children
May 18th, 2024
The work Feed My Starving Children does is deeply personal to them, their volunteers, donors, food distribution partners and meal recipients. They mean it when they say it: “We want to reach everyone, until ALL are fed,” because no one deserves to go hungry, especially when we can do something about it. They’ve worked hard to create nutritious meal formulas that really meet the needs of starving people, and this food makes a real impact in their lives.
